Special Education Teacher – Mod/Severe / ESN

Location: Fairfield, CA
Pay: $70–$75 per hour
Start Date: August 12, 2026
Openings: 2
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 36.5 hours per week

InSync Consulting Services is seeking two qualified Special Education Teachers for Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs classrooms in Fairfield, California. These positions are ideal for compassionate educators experienced in supporting students with significant academic, behavioral, communication, and functional needs.

Available Assignments

Kindergarten–2nd Grade Mod/Severe / ESN Teacher
6th–8th Grade Mod/Severe / ESN Teacher

Responsibilities

Provide specialized academic instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilities or extensive support needs
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs
Adapt curriculum, instructional strategies, and classroom materials based on student needs
Support students with communication, behavioral, social-emotional, adaptive, and functional life skills
Collect data and monitor progress toward IEP goals
Coordinate and supervise classroom paraprofessionals
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with families, administrators, general education teachers, and related-service providers
Implement behavior-support and classroom-management strategies
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements

Required Qualifications

Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Moderate/Severe Disabilities or Extensive Support Needs
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Experience supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities or extensive support needs
Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, behavior support, and special education compliance
Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and classroom-management skills
Ability to complete all district and company onboarding requirements
