Health & Safety Officer – Advanced Manufacturing Location: Seattle, WA | Onsite Benefits: 32 days PTO, 401K, Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage, Generous parental leave, Life Insurance We’re recruiting for a Health & Safety Officer to join a growing advanced manufacturing business in Seattle. This is a hands-on H&S role suited to someone who can balance strong compliance knowledge with a pragmatic, action-oriented approach. Working within a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day Health & Safety onsite, ensuring standards are not only documented but understood, implemented and followed in practice. Key responsibilities: Conduct workplace inspections and identify potential hazards Complete and maintain risk assessments and safe working procedures Investigate accidents and near misses and implement corrective actions Track H&S actions through to completion Ensure alignment with OSHA, WISHA / L&I and relevant Washington State requirements Work closely with operational teams to resolve safety issues practically and efficiently Support the development of a positive, proactive safety culture Adapt quickly as priorities change within a growing manufacturing environment We’re particularly interested in people who have worked within manufacturing, engineering, laboratory, R&D or similar industrial environments and are comfortable being visible and hands-on rather than operating purely from a compliance or procedural perspective. There is also a small facilities element to the position, including coordinating contractors and supporting general site requirements when needed, although Health & Safety will be the primary focus. Experience with OSHA General Industry standards and Washington State workplace safety regulations would be highly advantageous.
