Compensation: $25–$30/hour

We are seeking an experienced Lead Host to join a sophisticated, high-volume fine dining restaurant. This is an excellent opportunity for a polished hospitality professional who understands that the guest experience begins the moment someone walks through the door.

The ideal candidate will have fine dining experience, a strong background running the door, and hands-on experience with SevenRooms. You should be comfortable managing a high volume of guests and reservations while maintaining an organized, welcoming, and elevated experience for every guest.

Lead Host Responsibilities

• Lead the host stand and oversee the guest arrival experience throughout service.
• Manage reservations, seating assignments, waitlists, table flow, and guest communication using SevenRooms.
• Handle a high volume of guest arrivals while maintaining a calm, professional, and hospitable demeanor.
• Monitor reservations and seating flow to maximize table utilization and maintain an efficient service.
• Welcome guests and provide a warm, polished first impression consistent with a fine dining environment.
• Communicate closely with management, servers, bartenders, and the kitchen to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Maintain detailed guest notes, preferences, special occasions, VIP information, and other relevant information in SevenRooms.
• Handle guest questions, reservation requests, and phone calls professionally.
• Assist with training and supporting other members of the host team.
• Help resolve guest concerns and service issues as needed.
• Maintain an organized and professional host stand throughout service.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous fine dining host or lead host experience.
• Proven experience running the door in a busy restaurant.
• SevenRooms experience strongly preferred.
• Comfortable handling a high volume of guests and reservations.
• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Professional, polished, and genuinely hospitality-focused.
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Schedule & Benefits

• $25–$30/hour, based on experience.
• 4–5 eight-hour shifts per week.
• Likely days off will fall on Monday, Tuesday, and/or Wednesday, with flexibility based on the candidate and business needs.
• 24/7 Seaport parking pass available for exceptional employees at an employee cost of $45 per week.
• Health insurance eligibility after 90 days.
