What You Will Do Develop in‑depth understanding of the property management system and POS functionality. Provide gracious and sincere customer service to all arriving and departing guests and visitors. Follow all specified hotel procedures to properly conduct Front‑of‑the‑House business, including but not limited to: Answering telephones promptly and professionally. Taking reservations in person and over the phone. Reading and responding to hotel emails. Checking guests in and out. Completing group pre‑registrations and key packets. Posting charges and processing payments. Communicating with Housekeeping and Maintenance. Handling mail and coordinating deliveries of messages and packages. Anticipating guests’ needs and acting promptly to acknowledge them, no matter the time of day or busyness. Communicate service and amenities of the hotel to guests and provide concierge service as needed; maintain knowledge of local restaurants, special events, city attractions, and outdoor activities. Be thoroughly familiar with all hotel information necessary to increase revenues and enhance customer satisfaction, including current rate structures, sales strategies, room types, and hotel amenities. Resolve guest complaints and suggestions promptly and positively, referring to management when necessary. Complete shift checklists, special projects, and properly handle all cash, credit, and gift‑certificate transactions. Review business status with departing Front Desk Hosts and maintain an accurate log‑book. Keep the front desk and lobby areas clean and well organized. Be available to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Be familiar with all emergency procedures and provide calm, reassuring assistance during emergencies. Follow all company policies and procedures, report suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions, and maintain safety standards. Attend all mandatory meetings as directed and perform cross‑training and other tasks as needed. Secondary Job Functions Develop relationships with local service providers, such as cafes, florists, and beauty shops. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years of experience in a customer/guest service or public‑contact role. Fluency in English (verbal and written).
