Lane is seeking ambitious, motivated, and career‑focused Construction Interns to join our team and support a highway construction project in South Carolina . This internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced construction professionals, develop technical and leadership skills, and gain real‑world exposure to the heavy civil construction industry. You'll contribute to meaningful projects while building a strong foundation for a future career in construction. What You’ll Do As a Construction Intern, you’ll work closely with project teams in both field and office environments, assisting with a variety of project activities, including: Assisting with procurement activities. Supporting survey and layout operations. Assisting project safety professionals with safety‑related initiatives and documentation. Reading and interpreting construction plans and drawings. Drafting and preparing project submittals. Supporting Foremen and Superintendents with daily field operations. Working alongside construction crews onsite to gain practical construction experience. Learning and utilizing industry‑leading software such as HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and Primavera. Performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Strong interest in heavy civil construction and infrastructure projects.
