Your future role at a glance Location: Chicago, IL Facility: Ascension Saint Joseph Hospital Department: Radiation Therapy Schedule: Day shift | PRN | 8 hour | No weekend or holidays Salary Range: $53.00 - $56.00 per hour How you'll make an impact in this role Administer prescribed radiation therapy by accurately preparing, positioning, and treating patients in collaboration with physicians and dosimetrists. Operate, maintain, and adjust treatment equipment (e.g., linear accelerator) while ensuring high‑quality images and proper documentation in PACS. Maintain detailed, accurate records of all therapy sessions and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Support a clean, safe, and organized department, including treatment rooms, storage areas, and patient spaces. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Radiation Therapist credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Radiation Therapist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
