We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commissioning Manager to lead and execute the full commissioning lifecycle for various construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that project milestones and contractual commitments are met while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the full commissioning lifecycle, including planning, startup, testing, functional performance verification, turnover, and closeout activities.
• Develop, maintain, and integrate commissioning schedules with the overall project schedule to support project milestones and contractual commitments.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, commissioning agents, and operations personnel to support successful project delivery.
• Manage execution of commissioning plans and ensure compliance with quality standards, testing procedures, and turnover requirements.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, submittals, system schematics, and sequences of operation to support commissioning activities.
• Track commissioning progress, deficiencies, punch list items, and corrective actions through completion.
• Support startup, commissioning, and quality meetings while communicating updates to project teams and stakeholders.
• Verify documentation, checklists, and field readiness prior to system startup and equipment energization.
• Maintain equipment databases, testing records, inspection documentation, and project turnover packages.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, engineers, contractors, vendors, and operations teams.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 10 years of experience in commissioning, construction, or related project delivery roles.
• At least 5 years of hands-on commissioning experience supporting both field execution and engineering oversight.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building systems, including startup, testing, and system performance verification.
• Experience leading commissioning activities on commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction projects.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, system schematics, and MEP scopes of work.
• Working knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) and controls integration.
• Experience coordinating commissioning activities with project schedules, milestones, and contractual requirements.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to travel as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Data center or mission-critical project experience.
• ASHRAE commissioning knowledge or certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience with OFCI (Owner Furnished Contractor Installed) equipment coordination.
• Experience managing QA/QC processes, turnover documentation, and deficiency tracking.
• Experience working directly with owners, commissioning agents, and operations teams.
• Experience training, mentoring, or onboarding project staff.

Work Environment

This position requires work in an onsite environment in Haskell, Texas. Employees will receive per diem and have the option of staying in the man camp if necessary.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
