Shift Schedule: Night Shift: 10:05PM to 6:05AM (two 15-minute breaks), will also be required to fill in on all shifts as needed.

Full-time, 40-hour work week with rotating days off

Starting Rate: $20.7849 PER HOUR / $43,232.6352 ANNUAL

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to airport customers through multiple potential points of interaction. Patrol the parking facilities and curbsides for potential issues and report any findings to the Shift Supervisor or other appropriate personnel.

The following duties are typical for this position. Incumbents may not perform all the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.

1. Provide excellent customer service and assist patrons promptly and courteously.
2. Monitor, staff and perform regular patrols in all parking facilities including surface lots and garages, and all curbsides including departures, arrivals and ground transportation operations areas as assigned, and directed. Report any issues to the Shift Supervisor or other appropriate personnel as directed.
3. Provide patrons with accurate information regarding parking rates, availability, ground transportation operations, airport information, and directions across multiple communication avenues.
4. Assist patrons with locating their vehicles in a prompt and courteous manner.
5. Assist patrons with ground transportation needs and options in a prompt and courteous manner.
6. Assist patrons requiring a jump start in a prompt and courteous manner.
7. Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the nightly license plate inventory.
8. Responsible for performing space counts in a timely and efficient manner as and where directed.
9. Responsible for various tasks on the curbsides including staffing the taxi stand and ensuring that all ground transportation operations are running efficiently at all times.
10. Responsible for ensuring that vehicles on the curbsides are not left unattended and are stopped only when actively loading / unloading.
11. Performs various tasks in the Parking Operations Center as assigned and directed to include but not limited to assisting patrons via intercoms, telephone and in the lanes as needed.

1. Ensures that all parking transactions in assigned exit facilities are processed in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with all Authority and departmental policies and procedures.
2. Maintains an accurate record of all revenue collected and responsibly handles cash.
3. Adheres to all Authority and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.
4. Ensures that all workspaces, parking facilities, curbsides, booths and departmental vehicles are kept clean and are always organized.
5. Performs all other duties as assigned and directed.

The following generally describes the knowledge, skills and abilities required to enter the job and/or be learned within a short period of time to successfully perform the assigned duties.

1. Ability to communicate effectively with patrons is critical to this position. Employees must maintain a positive attitude and provide outstanding assistance to patrons.
2. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to make change with money.
3. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, supervisors, and other employees of the organization.
4. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but standard written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems and work well under pressure.
5. Knowledge of correct procedures in all landside operations.
6. Ability to clock in/out on time on a regular basis.

High school graduate or equivalent

1. Minimum of three years of direct customer service experience required.
2. Experience working in an airport environment preferred.

Possess a valid driver's license and must meet NAA driving record requirements.

Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility to hold a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge as may be required by assigned job duties and responsibilities.

Computerized parking fee computer; laptop and hand-held unit for collection of daily license plate inventory; iPad for looking up vehicle license plates and other tasks as required; multi-line telephone system; 2-way intercom system in parking entrances and exits; motor vehicle with automatic transmission; electric vehicle, DVR for CCTV footage research/playback; 2-way radio; booth alarm, drop safe, personal computer, portable vehicle jump starter.

This job entails walking, sitting and/or standing for long periods of time; extending and retracting the arms; a great deal of stretching to assist patrons; when entering certain booths you must step up and down approximately 10 inches to enter and exit; extensive walking required which can be from booth to booth as needed; to and from the lanes to assist patrons; to and from multiple other booths to provide breaks to other employees; to and from the parking offices and terminals to conduct business; in and around all parking facilities to include all surface lots and garages; in and around all curbsides: to and from restrooms in main airport terminal; walking on uneven surfaces including inclining and declining ramps; conducting license plate inventory, vehicle counts and/or regular patrols in all parking facilities and curbsides which may include inclining and declining ramps ; holding a hand-held computer and/or iPad in one hand and punching in letters and numbers with the other hand, as needed, in order to obtain license plate inventory or locate vehicles; bending; stooping; driving a vehicle with automatic transmission; driving an electric vehicle; operating a portable vehicle jump starter.

This position is required to work outside in ALL weather conditions on a daily basis. When working throughout the airport you must be always very conscious of the vehicular traffic movement around you as well as all gate arms and other equipment. License plate inventory and all other operations must continue regardless of weather conditions.

All drivers must be at least 21 years of age, licensed for at least 3 years, have the type of license required by their state for the vehicles operated and meet the following driving record standards.

• License is active and NOT suspended.
• Any employee or applicant who has been licensed in their state for less than 3 years must provide a copy of their previous driving record to Human Resources.
• An employee or applicant may have a North Carolina or Virginia driver's license as long as they reside in that state.
• An "unacceptable" DMV driving record includes the following violations during the most recent 3-year period :

Committing a Felony with a Motor Vehicle

DWI/DUI

Drug Offense

Eluding a Police Officer

Foreign citizens with no historical driving record available to us

Hit Run / Leaving the Scene of an accident

Lending an Operator's License or Registration to Another

Open Container Violation

Passing a Stopped School Bus

Racing or Speed Contest Violation

Reckless Driving

Speeding 25 mph, or more, above speed limit

Suspended License History Drivers who have had 3 or more license suspensions as a result of moving violations

Temporary Operator's Permit

Two or more at fault accident convictions

Vehicle Manslaughter/Homicide
