Job TitleThe NMVAHCS, Medicine Service is seeking two part-time Physicians (Dermatology).Job DescriptionThe incumbents will perform evaluations and treatment recommendations regarding patients with dermatology conditions, teach dermatology to learners and colleagues and conduct scholarly activity.Duties Include, But Not Limited To:Provide comprehensive dermatology care to outpatients, including evaluations, consultations, examinations, diagnosis, follow-up, medical record documentation/record-keeping and correspondenceParticipate in electronic consultations (e-consult) and telemedicine consultations in order to improve access to the quality of dermatology care through tele-dermatology and related technologiesPerform minor procedures such as biopsies, shave biopsies, simple excisions, cryotherapy and intraregional injectionsProvide appropriate education for patient and family members regarding patient's illness and/or management of careProvide training in dermatology to learners including medical students, dermatology residents and other traineesWork collaboratively with the primary care provider staff and provide dermatology training as neededWork collaboratively with subspecialty services to provide patient care and dermatology training as neededConduct scholarly and other activity related to their role as FacultyWork Schedule: Part Time days and hours to be discussed with hiring manager.
