Surgical Technologist (Surgical Services)

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | On-Site

Key Responsibilities

• Provide surgical technologist support within the surgical services department at a 1:1 ratio
• Participate in on-call coverage, including weekday and weekend call rotations as required by department needs
• Work weekend shifts in lieu of weekday shifts as directed by departmental scheduling needs
• Document and chart patient care activities using Epic
• May be expected to float to nearby sister facilities as assigned
• Commit to working designated holidays as required per contract terms

Required Qualifications

• NBSTSA certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of surgical technologist experience required
• Valid state license or compact license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard travel candidate (locals accepted at a different rate)
• Must be available for on-call: 16 weekday hours every 4 weeks and 24 weekend hours every 4 weeks
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel contract experience preferred
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• Experience in a short-term acute care hospital setting
