The Center for Emergency Medicine - Ambulance and Chair is looking to hire both Full-Time and Part-Time Paramedics.

Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-Time and Part-Time available
- All shift modalities: 24-hour, 16-hour, 12-hour, and 8-hour shifts available
- Schedule posted 30 days in advance
- Call Volume split between primarily 911 emergency response dominant and non-emergency transports
- Coverage area ranges from urban to rural environments

Ambulance and Chair is a long-standing EMS provider with deep roots in the communities that we serve. Covering a diverse urban-to-rural response area, our team answers an average of 40,000 calls annually across 45 communities in Washington and Greene Counties, providing both 911 emergency response and non-emergency medical transport.

Position Summary
The Paramedic provides advanced life support care in the prehospital setting in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Health regulations, regional protocols, and Ambulance and Chair policies. Paramedics serve as clinical leaders on scene, delivering high-acuity patient care, coordinating resources, and supporting team members to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Respond to 911 and non-emergency calls in a safe, timely, and professional manner
- Perform advanced patient assessments, clinical decision-making, and treatment planning
- Provide ALS interventions within PA scope of practice, including advanced airway management, cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and resuscitation
- Utilize advanced equipment such as mechanic ventilators, IV pumps, LUCAS devices, and blood products per protocol
- Serve as the lead clinician on scene, coordinator care with EMTs, AEMTs, dispatch, medical command, hospitals, and partner agencies
- Provide mentorship, clinical guidance, and support to EMT-Basics and AEMTs
- Accurately complete electronic patient care reports (ePCR)
- Ensure ambulance, equipment, and medication readiness
- Participate in quality improvement, training, protocol development, and research initiatives
- Uphold patient confidentiality, professionalism, and organizational values
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Current Pennsylvania Paramedic certification
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS/ITLS card
- Emergency Vehicle Operator (EMSVO) certificate
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including lifting and moving patients
- Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and remain calm in high-stress situations
Clearances must be dated within 90 days:
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

- Prior EMS experience
