Speech-Language Pathologist

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Speech-Language Pathologist, where you will play a vital role in enhancing communication and swallowing abilities for diverse patient populations. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders Develop and implement tailored therapy programs aligned with individual needs and goals Collaborate with educators, healthcare providers, families, and caregivers to coordinate care plans Provide direct speech therapy services to pediatric populations in school or clinical settings Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies accordingly Educate patients and their families on techniques to support ongoing communication development Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards Experience Prior school experience working with children in educational settings is highly preferred Demonstrated expertise in pediatrics and early intervention programs Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques across various communication disorders Familiarity with physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology Proven ability to perform thorough patient assessments and develop effective treatment plans Passion for patient care with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach Knowledge of current best practices in speech therapy and early childhood development Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a meaningful difference! Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Evaluation report completion within required timelines. SOAP note completion timeliness and quality. Billing accuracy and weekly invoice submission. Attendance documentation and compliance (no-show/late cancellations). Caregiver education and home-program carryover implementation. Interdisciplinary coordination participation (including OT co-treatments when appropriate). Responsiveness to email/Signal communication. Qualifications Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required. Current New Mexico SLP license required. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred (or eligibility pathway for CF-SLP). Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills. Experience with AAC, pediatric language disorders, and caregiver coaching preferred.
