Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist
• Evaluate, plan, and administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
• Ensure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers, providing clinical support as needed
• Monitor and document patient response to treatment interventions
• Complete required forms and documentation in compliance with company policy and state/federal regulations

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program
• Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs , administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT)
• Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Physical stamina to assist patients with movement and exercises

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Post-graduate experience in a skilled nursing facility setting
• Demonstrated empathy and patience when working with a diverse patient population
