Database Specialist

Role: The Database Specialist supports the maintenance, management, and troubleshooting of state database systems. Responsibilities: Assist with data entry, validation, and updates; help create and optimize database structures; monitor performance; perform backup and restore operations; conduct routine health checks; document procedures; support ad-hoc data analysis and reporting; troubleshoot minor issues under supervision. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; basic knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and common database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL); strong attention to detail; problem-solving skills; team-oriented; willingness to learn and develop skills. Additional Information: The role involves supporting database integrity, performance, and documentation, with promotion based on demonstrated skills and performance.
