Berkshire Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a 175-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in West Babylon, NY, dedicated to providing exceptional care and a welcoming experience for every resident. We are currently seeking an Admissions Assistant to help ensure a smooth and positive admission process for new residents and their families.
Responsibilities
Welcome new residents and their families while providing an overview of our services.
Complete admission agreements and all required admission paperwork accurately and efficiently.
Process new admissions and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
Coordinate with hospitals, insurance providers, and internal departments regarding prospective and incoming admissions.
Assist residents and their representatives by addressing questions or concerns throughout the admission process.
Help create a positive first impression and ensure new residents feel comfortable and supported.
Qualifications
Compassionate, professional, and committed to outstanding customer service.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, referral sources, and staff.
Experience using online referall platforms, including Navi and Allscripts.
Previous admissions, healthcare, customer service, or administrative experience is preferred.
