Compressor Rebuild Foreman

Overview The Compressor Rebuild Foreman is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and rebuilding operations of industrial compressors. The role requires a deep understanding of compressor mechanics, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. Responsibilities Oversee the maintenance and rebuilding operations of industrial compressors. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Manage a team of technicians and provide necessary training and guidance. Diagnose and troubleshoot compressor issues to minimize downtime. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and rebuilding activities. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement. Order and manage inventory of spare parts and tools. Stay updated with the latest advancements in compressor technology. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Strong leadership and supervisory skills Excellent problem-solving abilities Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints Proficiency in using hand and power tools Attention to detail and high standards of workmanship Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment Commitment to safety protocols and procedures Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in the maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of compressors, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role Proficiency in interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team effectively Certifications in relevant safety and technical areas are a plus Travel Requirements Ability to travel occasionally to attend meetings, trainings, and events. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Ability to use a computer, phone, printer, scanner, and other office equipment.
