We are currently seeking a passionate Catering/College Dining Cook to help our culinary team during the school season and to also help the catering side of the business. This unique opportunity offers the ideal work-life balance with holidays and summers off, allowing you to pursue personal interests and recharge before the next academic year begins.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute from scratch seasonal menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner and special events, ensuring a balance of nutrition, flavor, and variety.
• Follow kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, while adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Help manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Remain with a positive attitude and creativity, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards and food safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Catering/College Cook in a high-volume and fast-paced food service environment and/or culinary degree.
• Capable of executing batch, from scratch, menus for both the dining hall and catering.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail and efficiency.
• Knowledge of dietary guidelines, food allergies, and special dietary requirements.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with students, staff, and parents.
• Must be able to work independently, with little supervision.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• Must be able to work night and weekends.

Benefits:

• $18-20 per hour position; commensurate with experience.
• Part-time position, with the possibility of being a full-time position, depending on the quantity of catering events and work flow.
• Holidays and summers off, providing an ideal work-life balance. Night shifts are usually out by 7:30 pm, no late nights, unless an event requires you to stay.
