Are you a hands-on Toolroom Supervisor with strong machining and assembly experience looking to lead from the front in a precision manufacturing environment?


We're seeking a working leader to take ownership of a high-performing Toolroom. You'll drive output, quality, and accountability while staying close to the machines, people, and build process.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily Toolroom operations alongside Machinists and Toolmakers
• Schedule and prioritise work based on production and engineering demands
• Manage, coach, and develop Toolroom personnel
• Review incoming jobs for feasibility and readiness before release
• Work closely with Engineering to refine designs and resolve gaps
• Maintain tooling, fixtures, and equipment readiness across the shop
• Drive accountability for delivery, quality, and workmanship standards

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience in Toolroom, machining, and machine build environments
• Ability to read, interpret, and create engineering drawings
• Solid understanding of precision measurement tools and inspection methods
• Experience supporting fixtures, tooling, and gage development
• Working knowledge of CAD, CAM, and SPC systems preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical understanding
• Proven leadership style - leads from the floor, not the office
