Program Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the FVPP Program Director, Program Coordinator is responsible assisting the FVPP Program Director in the daily planning, operations, coordination, and management of the FVPP program, in accordance with local and federal requirements. Responsible for coordinating program services with other agencies and community services to build community partnerships. Oversee special projects and activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures that each of the program areas is implemented and in compliance with all local and federal guidelines, regulations and policies and procedures. Assists in the planning, development, operations, and evaluation of all program services. Assists with the development of all quality improvement activities and follow-up, including monitoring staff progress and/or assisting with training of new hires. Leads in the development, implementation and coordination of outreach and intake activities for the program. Assists with staff on call scheduling, timesheets, payroll approvals, inventory management, monthly bills, etc. Assists in hiring, evaluation, auditing, and performance management. Develops and maintains knowledge and working understanding of FVPP program policies, procedures, service delivery systems, and applicable documentation and reporting requirements. Attends required grant training alongside Program Director or as needed for education and/or compliance. Assists the Program Director in providing training and technical assistance to staff, Tribal programs, and community partners on FVPP policies, procedures, and program requirements. Work closely with Program Director to develop, write and implement FVPP Plan. Maintain relationships with tribal staff, community organizations. Maintain event schedules, timelines and contract databases. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from an accredited college or university, with a degree in Business Management, Public Administration, or other related field. OR A minimum of four years of administrative experience, or any combination of experience, training, or other preparation which would indicate possession of the required knowledge, abilities and skills outlined in this position. SKILLS & ABILITIES Experience with Microsoft Office software Communication skills including the ability to maintain communication with participants and their families, agencies, and state and federal stakeholders with both written and verbal communication. Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment. Be committed to program mission, vision and values. Maintain professional boundaries with all current, past, and prospective clients, and maintain the confidentiality of clients and staff, in accordance with ITCN policies. Adheres strictly to confidentiality of clients, co-worker, and internal business information. ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of Program Administration principles and practices. Knowledge of the Tribal communities, including anticipation of their organization and community needs. Knowledge of Victim Services best practice and advocacy. Knowledge of childcare programs and their needs. Ability to maintain accurate records, analyze data, prepare reports and submit in a timely manner. Ability to interpret and apply Federal, State, ITCN and other program guidelines. Ability to work effectively with the Tribal communities, community organizations, FVPP staff, ITCN staff and program representatives. Self-motivated, a self-starter, dependable, and has the ability to work with minimum supervision. A positive attitude with effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Willing and able to travel extensively including overnight trips. Must possess a valid Nevada’s Driver’s license and good driving record. Must have reliable vehicle to travel extensively within the service areas with required automobile insurance coverage. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ability to integrate and merge data from multiple programs including Access, Excel, Word, Power Point and Publisher. WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and filing systems. The Workforce Specialist may be required to travel frequently to tribal communities throughout Nevada, including overnight stays and occasional evening or weekend meetings to attend community events, job fairs, or training sessions Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and participate in community outreach events indoors and outdoors. Flexibility to work evenings or weekends on occasion, depending on program activities or special events.
