Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution

State licensure as a Physical Therapist

CPR certification is preferred

Specialized certifications (for example, in neurological or geriatric care) are advantageous but not obligatory

Prior experience is highly preferred
