Medical Social Worker (MSW)to join a dedicated team in the sunny paradise of  Fort Myers, Florida ! ️ This is a critical and rewarding role, specifically within the  Pediatric Emergency Room (PEDS ER)at a reputable Children's Hospital. If you are passionate about supporting children and families during crisis, this is the perfect assignment for you. Position Details

• Role: Medical Social Worker (MSW) (Allied)
• Location: Fort Myers, Florida, 33908
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift Schedule: Guaranteed 40 HR week. Primarily 6-12 Hour  Night Shifts (mostly 7p-7:30a) and one 8-Hour shift, with rotating weekends within a 2-week period. Must have flexibility to cover day shifts as needed.

Your Role & Responsibilities As an MSW in the PEDS ER, you will provide essential social work services and crisis intervention for pediatric patients and their families. Your duties will include:

• Providing expert  Discharge Planning to ensure safe and comprehensive transitions of care.
• Offering immediate crisis intervention and emotional support in a high-acuity setting.
• Conducting psychosocial assessments and connecting families with necessary community resources.
• Functioning as core staff, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and case management teams.

Requirements

Requirements & Logistics To qualify for this unique PEDS opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Master in Social Work (MSW) is  required .
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
• Specialty: Mandatory  PEDS Experience (Pediatrics) is essential.
• Certification:   BLS certification is required
