Instructional Designer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to design and lead the development of engaging eLearning and Instructor-Led Training (ILT) programs. In this role, you will apply deep knowledge of adult learning principles to translate complex operational needs into impactful educational solutions.

Working collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts, you will manage end-to-end project lifecycles-from needs analysis and storyboarding to authoring, LMS administration, and post-launch evaluation.
Key Responsibilities

• Instructional Design & Content Development: Design and develop comprehensive training solutions (eLearning modules, job aids, classroom materials, and digital simulations) for front-line workgroups.
• Needs Analysis & Strategy: Analyze performance data, Job Task Analyses, and Gap Analyses to identify user goals, determine learning objectives, and select optimal delivery modalities.
• Project Management: Manage moderately complex instructional design projects, overseeing timelines, media production (video/audio scripting), and stakeholder reviews.
• LMS Administration & Maintenance: Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to upload, test, manage course structures, archive content, and ensure adherence to operational best practices.
• Train-the-Trainer & Hand-offs: Facilitate formal and informal reviews, administer Train-the-Trainer sessions, and ensure a seamless hand-off of training deliverables to delivery teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Research emerging e-learning technologies, gamification, and mobile-ready trends to continuously elevate department standards. Mentor and support the professional growth of junior team members.

Qualifications & Technical Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience applying adult learning principles in instructional design, training development, or e-learning.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Learning, Curriculum Design, Education, Communications, or a related discipline (or an additional two years of professional training/experience in lieu of a degree).
• Authoring Tools: Proven proficiency with standard e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360 , Adobe Captivate , or Articulate Rise 360 .
• LMS Experience: Familiarity administering and managing course trees and content within a Learning Management System.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with graphic creation/Photoshop, video screencasting, simulation design, gamification, and professional certifications in Instructional Design.
