Qualifications This position is for custodial services at a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints, only members of the Church who are endowed and have a current temple recommend qualify for employment for this specific position. Responsibilities Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Dusts furniture, walls, light fixtures. Removes stains from rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions. Mixes water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications. Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment. Gathers and empties trash. Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs, and furniture. Polishes furniture and fixtures. Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms. Cleans glass doors. Maintains the janitor’s closet neat and orderly and maintains equipment in good working order. Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. Additional Information A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
