Bachelor’s degree in Education, valid state Teaching license or certification, and 1+ years Teaching experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Empower high school students as a Special Education Teacher in an Autism Support Classroom, providing meaningful instruction and support. Key Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching License (or Emergency Certification)
- Experience working with high school-age students in special education settings, particularly autism support
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and respectful classroom culture
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to students in an Autism Support Classroom
- Develop and implement IEPs and individualized learning plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Create and maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
- Foster relationships with students, building trust and encouraging self-advocacy
- Track and document student progress, communicating regularly with parents, staff, and administrators
- Participate in professional development and team meetings as required
