Join our team today!What you will do:Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Complete routine services.Work closely with drivers and operations teams.BenefitsPREMIUM FREE Employee HealthcareAnnual Merit IncreasesPaid Time OffGrowth Opportunities — Multiple Locations Across the USATool Allowance Program401k with Company MatchJob Description:Ability to do preventive maintenance checks and services and general maintenance/repairs of fleet vehicles to include semi-trucks, cars, pickups and yard trucksAbility to perform an Annual Federal InspectionPossess or able to obtain CDLAbility to complete written forms such as shop orders, inspection forms, and vehicle & equipment work history recordsEnsuring that tractors and trailers meet the U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirementsAbility to schedule and determine work prioritiesAbility to operate the various types of equipment to be repairedBasic shag operation to move trailersBasic forklift operation to move material aroundWorking knowledge of MIG welder for aluminum and steelWorking knowledge of torch for cutting & heatingAbility to repair air brake systemsAbility to do alignments on both tractors and trailersWorking knowledge of matching tires for tread depth & brandWorking knowledge of basic electrical principles, systems and components as they relate to vehicle and equipment operationAbility to read/understand electrical schematicsAbility to inspect, repair or replace brake parts including brake pads, shoes, drums, and rotorsAbility to repair/replace ABS SystemInspect wheel seals, driveline system & U jointsAble to perform routine Preventative Maintenance - Air, Oil, Fuel filter, full truck inspectionWorking knowledge of fuel systemWorking knowledge of laptop with diagnostic softwareAbility to locate & repair leaks with AC systemPerform overhead valve adjustmentsQualificationsPreferred Associates or better in Mechanics.
