About the Position

Job Title

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room (Travel)

Crestview, FL | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | On-call required | Rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room including the sterile field, surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions prior to procedures
• Pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon throughout the procedure
• Simultaneously manage the sterile field and surgical specimens during operations
• Perform counts of sponges and supplies to prevent foreign retained objects
• Support robotic-assisted surgical procedures as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CST/OR experience
• Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited or equivalent programmatically-accredited surgical technology program
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Robotic surgery experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume or trauma operating room environment
• Familiarity with a variety of surgical specialties and procedures
• Strong ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced travel assignment setting
