Job Details Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Friday 8 a.m.–2 p.m. Location: Southern Pines, NC 28387 Job Type: Local contract (6‑month term, possible extension) Pay Range: $19.93–$22.17 per hour (based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education). Job Description The Phlebotomist II (Patient Services Representative II) is the face of the company to patients who come in for routine health checkups or life‑defining health decisions. The Phlebotomist II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The role involves direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence, explaining procedures, and drawing blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately. The Phlebotomist II demonstrates Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and confidentiality. Within your area, you may be assigned to a doctor’s office, a patient service center, or other locations as business needs dictate. Responsibilities Perform daily phlebotomy activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Conduct both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established practices. Verify patient demographic information, initials, and patient signature after venipuncture to confirm proper labeling. Maintain required records and documentation. Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public. Qualifications Ability to provide quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment and work independently with minimal on‑site supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections. Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime. Commitment to all Policies & Procedures, dress code, Health & Safety, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles. Good judgment and decision‑making based on established procedures. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if required). Capacity to handle multiple priorities in a high‑volume setting. Superior customer focus; ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients. Knowledge of company business. Education & Experience High‑school diploma or equivalent (required). Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
