Job Title Certified Midwife, Bronx, NY Responsibilities Work within a multi‑disciplinary team to provide primary care services to patients. Examine patients and conduct medical tests. Analyze records, reports, and test results to prevent and diagnose illness, disease, or injury. Prescribe and administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care. Explain procedures and test results and develop a prescribed treatment plan. Manage laboratory tests, referrals, and laboratory coordination. Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, and other support staff. Qualifications Completion of an approved/accredited educational program for midwifery. Pass the examination developed and administered by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB). Valid NY State license, CDS, DEA, and BLS. Ability to effectively communicate, follow established procedures and protocol. Understanding of and passion for community health care is preferred.
