Job Description: 50% holidays and every other weekend Float: YES: Between ED and ED Obs We are a Level 1 trauma, Stroke, and Stemi ED. We have a peds ED inside the UH ED. Psych center associated with ED, but will not float. ACLS & PALS required, CPI preferred 2 years of experience is required. Will accept 1st time travelers if they have level I trauma experience No locals within 50 miles The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
Essential Job Functions: (1) the ability to work at clients assigned work location throughout the full term of the contractual engagement, (2) the ability to work the substantial time of the assigned shift, (3) the ability to take call, (4) the ability to work assigned weekends, and (5) the ability to work at least 50 percent of the holidays that occur during the contract. Special Procedures/Unit Details: Special Equipment: #Tier3 Travel Compliance Email, Phone, SSN DOB req. 2 yrs exp req. NBO: Re-orientation not req if returning within 18 months. Compliance deadline: 2PST wed prior to start. RTO: Max 10 days. License: MO or Compact in hand Certs: CPI Blue Card required for Behavioral Health RNs LCSWs: Can be pending at start and completed onsite for free (unpaid). Locals: must be over 50 mi. Pharm Tech: license in hand. RRT: pending license ok. CRT not allowed. Charting: Cerner preferred. Holidays: 50% on contract required. Floating is mandatory all travelers must float, including as Patient Observers (Sitters): ICU may float to PCU or MS units PCU may float to MS or ICU units MS may float to MS/Tele Pediatrics may float anywhere in the organization as a Patient Observer (sitter) Post-Partum may float to MS units L D may float within Maternal/Child Extensions: Effective 4/8/26, travelers can work up to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts, (or 9 months of consecutive service). Following that, traveler must take a mandatory (6) month break before returning to MU Health Care in an agency capacity.
