Job Summary and Qualifications The Medical Lab Technician conducts routine and complex laboratory tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and/or microbiology for use in patient diagnosis and treatment of disease. What You Will DoInThis Role: You will perform chemical, bacteriological,serological,and microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections. You will produceaccurateresults in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, and otherareasdesignated. You willmaintainquality results by running standards and controls, calibrating equipmentutilizingapproved testing procedures, verifying equipment function through routine maintenance and monitoring quality control measures and protocols. What qualifications you will need: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification (ASCP or AMT) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date Associate degree At least one year hospital experience is preferred Medical City Las Colinas, built in 1997, is a 100+ bed full service, acute-care facility.
