Immunology Lab Operations Lead

Position Summary The is looking for a Research Technologist, whose main responsibility is to support the day-to‑day functioning of a collaborative and cutting edge research immunology laboratory that studies the innate and adaptive immune response to infection and cancer. The candidate will be expected to be on-site full time (40 hours per week) during core business hours to support the daily operations of the lab. Key Responsibilities Assist with daily lab operations. Order lab and office supplies. Keep lab supplies stocked. Maintain and service lab equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition. Prepare stock solutions and tissue culture media supplements. Maintain a database of lab expenses including supply purchases and facilities and core costs. Provide PI with monthly accounting of spending. Maintain databases of lab reagents (chemicals, antibodies, plasmids and frozen cells). Perform routine Mycoplasma tests on cell cultures to detect and prevent contamination. Oversee animal colony (including breeding and maintenance of knockout lines) and keeping track of animal inventory, cage counts, and animal spending every month. Manage lab roster and assign safety & animal trainings. Train new employees on lab procedures, safety and methods. Coordinate annual lab safety inspection and ensure compliance with lab safety regulations. Arrange shipping of transfer materials to and from other labs. Submit all published plasmids to Addgene. Assist with protein purification, cell culture, genotyping, and cloning when needed. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree Experience: 4 years of relevant work experience OR Master's and 2 years of relevant work experience The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good‑faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job‑related factors.
