Job Description
Join Our Dynamic Respiratory Therapy Team!

Job Summary:
- Provide expert evaluation and care for patients experiencing respiratory insufficiencies.


Responsibilities:
- Assess patients to determine the appropriate treatment type and frequency for their diagnosis.
- Develop a comprehensive plan of care tailored specifically to each patient.
- Implement and monitor the patient care plan and related equipment.
- Regularly monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions.
- Perform advanced respiratory care modalities with precision and care.
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust respiratory practices and medications accordingly.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, community support groups, and available programs.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to emergency resuscitation team codes.

Complexity of Work:
- Employ critical thinking skills and sound judgment while working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced and often stressful environment.

Personal Protective Equipment:
- Adhere to Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Required:
- BLS Provider (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
- Credentialed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Preferred:
- Advanced Life Support (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
- Neonatal Resuscitation certification (American Academy of Pediatrics)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)

- Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2+ years of cumulative experience OR
- Associate's degree/Technical degree OR
- 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
