Job Description The Fralin Biomedical Research Institute is seeking an HR Assistantto provide administrative support to FBRI and HS&T. Thisposition assists with personnel records, leave administration, wagepayroll, HR correspondence, and the processing of HR documentationwhile maintaining employee records in accordance with universitypolicies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have strongadministrative experience, experience handling confidentialinformation, and excellent organizational skills. Success in thisrole requires a strong commitment to customer service,collaboration, attention to detail, effective communication, andthe ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-pacedenvironment. This position supports a variety of HR functions, includingmaintaining employee directories, monthly leave records, assistingthe Senior HR Manager with new hire documentation, processing wagetime entry, communicating deadlines to ensure compliance, andperforming other related duties as assigned. The HR Assistant alsosupports onboarding and offboarding activities, daily HRoperations, and compliance with university and departmentalprocesses. This position offers opportunities for professional growth andexpanded responsibilities over time. As experience is gained, theHR Assistant may assist with program coordination, processimprovement initiatives, and additional HR projects incollaboration with the Senior HR Manager. Required Qualifications Excellent communication skills with exceptional attention todetail. Experience working in a demanding, fast-paced environment.Possesses a high level of organization and time management skillsto manage time sensitive and competing priorities. Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, andcommunication skills, and the ability to interact respectfully withall individuals. Proven ability to cultivate positive working relationships, buildand maintain a team-based approach, and gain the trust and respectof all levels of internal and external constituencies. Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive and confidentialmatters and perform duties with a high level of professionalism,confidentiality, flexibility, discretion, judgment, diplomacy, andtact. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications,including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as otherstandard office technologies. Preferred Qualifications Associate or bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination ofeducation and experience. One year of experience supporting human resourcesfunctions. Experience with payroll, human resources, and/or employeeonboarding Experience using systems such as HRIS, applicant trackingsystems, Banner, PageUp, or similar platforms.
