What You'll Do
- Provide expert nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) during night shifts
- Float to other OSU-affiliated hospitals as needed within units of comparable or lower acuity
- Manage patient conditions with a typical ratio of 1:3-4
- Utilize electronic medical records (EPIC) for documentation and order entry
- Administer IV therapy, medications, and other treatments
- Monitor patient status and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
- Follow all hospital protocols to ensure patient safety and care quality
What You Need
- Valid Ohio RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications
- At least 2 years of hospital nursing experience, preferably in acute or critical care units
- Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, and electronic health records (EPIC)
- Ability to float within similar unit levels with flexibility and professionalism
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
