This Residential Appraiser position is part of the represented by Council 5 of AFSCME. St. Louis County does not participate in E-Verify. All employees must be continuously authorized to work in the United States, for St. Louis County, on a full-time basis. St. Louis County does not provide sponsorship for employment visas.
Distinguishing Features of Work
An employee in this entry level appraiser class is responsible for making routine appraisals of residential and agricultural properties in St. Louis County. Duties include: conducting inspections of property to determine conditions, improvements, measurements and locations; researching property descriptions, deeds and other documents; reviewing information with property owners and others to assess accuracy of information; making appraisals based on available information. The work is performed under the direction of assigned supervisory staff.

OCCASIONAL: Carry-push/pull while moving 11 to 20 pounds; Climb stairs; Headset; Works with others; Customer/Public contact; and exposure to slippery surfaces. RARE: Carry-push/pull while moving 21 to 100 pounds; Crouch/Squat; Kneel; Stoop/Bend; Twist (waist); Clients with Behavioral Challenges; and Extended day.
