In this role, you’ll assemble custom box ‑ making machines and related equipment — working from detailed drawings, precision components, and high ‑ quality materials. If you take pride in putting together machines that run smoothly, accurately, and reliably, this is a great opportunity to grow your career with a global industry leader.Job Responsibilities:Work from assembly drawings, blueprints, instructions, and specificationsPlan assembly tasks in the proper sequenceAssemble sections of machinery based on customer specificationsPerform precision mechanical assembly involving rotating shafts, gear trains, sprockets, and mechanical structuresUse hand and power tools for assemblyUse precision measuring instruments to align, level, and ensure accuracyWork to tight tolerances requiring square, parallelism, and concentricityIdentify and report defective material or unusual conditionsComplete documentation to meet quality and production requirementsParticipate in team meetings to help resolve production, quality, or cost issuesSupport team members with additional duties as neededMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work areaCommunicate effectively with teammates and collaborate to solve problemsEssential Functions :Read and interpret complex drawings, blueprints, and specificationsSafely and accurately use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instrumentsAssemble mechanical components and machine sections to tight tolerancesAlign and level components to ensure accuracy, square, parallelism, and concentricityMaintain strong attention to detail in a fast ‑ paced assembly environmentCommunicate effectively across teamsAdapt to changing priorities and production needs throughout the dayFollow all established safety procedures and maintain a clean workspaceBasic Qualifications and Requirements:High School Diploma or GED2+ years of mechanical assembly, machine building, or related mechanical experienceMechanical aptitude and willingness to learn and apply new assembly concepts#LI-MG2At Barry-Wehmiller we recognize that people come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job.
