Job Description

Job Summary:

The Surgical Technician provides essential support in operating rooms by preparing and maintaining sterile surgical environments and assisting surgical teams with procedures. This role ensures adherence to safety protocols and contributes to efficient surgical operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surgical instruments and equipment to ensure readiness for procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field and uphold infection control standards throughout surgeries.
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies.
• Monitor and document surgical supplies, ensuring proper inventory levels.
• Adhere to facility policies, including strict no-call policies and smoke-free environment standards.
• Complete required orientation modules, including EKG and Pharm tests, prior to start date.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Surgical Technologist certification or credential.
• Demonstrate prior experience in surgical settings with knowledge of sterile techniques.
• Ability to pass required orientation assessments within two attempts.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
• Be able to work a day shift (4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM).
• Meet compliance standards, including travel and background screening requirements.
