What You'll Do

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients with hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant needs.
• Administer medication, including chemotherapy, and monitor patient responses.
• Perform bedside procedures such as CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies.
• Utilize Epic electronic health records for documentation and medication administration.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and patient care protocols.
• Support the unit's focus on high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or ability to obtain one
• BLS certification, ACLS certification
• Epic electronic health record experience
• Prior oncology or hematology nursing experience

• ONS certification
• Experience with bedside CVC placement and bone marrow biopsies
• Ability to work night shifts and flexible staffing requirements

The 7-bed unit is equipped for advanced procedures like bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies, supporting patients with conditions such as acute leukemia and Graft-versus-Host Disease.
