The Physician Assistant Fellow is joining DFCI in a one-year Physician Assistant post-graduate training program. The Physician Assistant Fellow has completed PA school and is a certified Physician Assistant. The Physician Assistant Fellow uses clinical and academic skills in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of patients with cancer or hematologic disorders. The Fellow joins DFCI for dedicated mentorship in oncology through a program that will include didactic and clinical training outlined by the PA Fellowship Director.

Responsibilities
In collaboration with a physician and mentors, thePhysician AssistantFellow manages therapeutic regimens for acute and chronic problems associated with such disease,treatmentand/or conditions.
ThePhysician AssistantFellowprovidesanticipatory guidance, patient and family education, and psychological and emotional support.
ThePhysician AssistantFellow has prescriptive authority which includes schedule II through V controlled substances in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
ThePhysician AssistantFellow takes advantage of formal and informal learning opportunities to strengthen his or her knowledge base in support of the Institute's Mission,Visionand Core Values
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education:
Master's Degree and successful completion of an AAPA/NCCPA accredited Physician Assistant Studies program are required.??
Minimum Experience:
No professional experience required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Must be NCCPA Certified and licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Massachusetts.? Must maintain current DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Licenses, and complete 100 hours of CME according to national and state regulations during each 2 year period of employment.

PAFellow is a member of an interdisciplinary care team that requires effective communication and collaboration with co-workers at the Institute in addition tocollaboratinginstitutions and agencies.
Critical thinking, an understanding of researchprinciples and practicesand leadership that improves the quality of care and advances nursing/medical care within the work setting and throughout the community.

The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate's relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
$91,500.00 - $101,900.00
