Project Manager Construction

Retail experience preferred. Responsibilities Manages new store AND/OR remodel construction projects Travels to job sites regularly to check progress, overall workmanship, and verifies that project is on schedule Oversees processing of all pay applications, change order requests for information related to the design and construction of projects Reviews paperwork for accuracy, completeness, and supporting documentation Returns inaccurate or incomplete pay applications and change order requests for revision/resubmittal Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of overnight remodels and minor capital projects Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including store directors, to minimize disruption to store operations Manages communication between vendors, contractors, and Academy Learns and enforces company policies and procedures Learns and enforces company safety rules Duties may change; Team Member may be required to perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required Experience: Five (5)+ years of Development & Construction experience required Retail experience preferred Skills: Strategic thinker with ability to translate analysis into tactical delivery Track record of delivering high-impact results year-over-year Excellent written, verbal, listening and presentation skills Strong organizational skills and ability to manage all financial aspects of design/construction Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interface with individuals at all levels Ability to operate professionally, effectively and ethically as an individual contributor, team member, and leader Ability to influence and gain acceptance and approval of ideas, proposals, and solutions Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Excellent leadership skills with ability to prioritize critical needs and manage a high volume of complex tasks Self-motivated with ability to meet/exceed position requirements under minimal direction Highly developed project management skills Ability to communicate between store team, internal team, contractors, and vendors Physical Requirements & Attendance Regular attendance required Ability to work flexible hours such as evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Travel is required Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior Equal Employment Opportunity Academy is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate with regard to employment opportunities or practices on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other category protected by law.
