Staff Backend Software Engineer

To support a growing technology platform, the full-time Staff Backend Software Engineer will architect scalable solutions, drive feature development end-to-end, and collaborate with senior engineers in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Identify and execute codebase improvements for efficient development and deployment Own features from backend systems to partner-facing surfaces, utilizing AI tooling as needed Collaborate with PMs and business partners to define and refine the technical roadmap Required qualifications Experience in distributed system development, particularly in Scala Ability to direct AI agents and automated workflows effectively Strong product thinking focused on customer experience and quality architecture Experience designing guardrails and feedback loops for AI-assisted development Proven ability to articulate problem-solving approaches and trade-offs
