These are the qualifications that matter: Minimum of 3 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Microsoft D365, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms Experience executing MRP runs and managing material planning activities High school diploma or equivalent required Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills Solid understanding of supply chain, purchasing, and inventory management principles Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to travel occasionally to supplier locations as needed Job Duties: Source and purchase materials, components, and supplies to support production needs Issue purchase orders, execute MRP runs, and track deliveries to ensure on-time material availability Manage supplier relationships, performance, and contract negotiations Resolve supply, delivery, and quality issues with vendors Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and planning teams Track and expedite orders while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory Analyze costs and support purchasing savings initiatives Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records in the ERP system Ensure compliance with company policies and support audit requirements Why This Job?
