Project Manager - Highway/Roadway

Responsibilities Manage a team of engineers with design and production of highway construction drawings Prepare and review project bid documents including plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates; perform roadway design tasks. Hold responsibilities of a Project Manager and communicates with the Task Leads Prepare moderately complex studies, construction documents, drawings, maps, reports, and supporting documentation Occasionally visit work site(s) and report findings to other experienced engineers and/or project managers Communicate with clients regarding project issues, holds and attends meetings Defines scope of work and staff‑hour requirements for client proposals Ensures that project/task schedules and budgets are met Leads and supports technical aspects of proposal production Ensure work efforts for assigned tasks fall within established budgets Mentor task managers and project engineers. Maintain knowledge through completion of various training initiatives. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required (Master’s degree desired) 10+ years of highway design experience supporting transportation clients, including agencies such as NJDOT, NJTA, SJTA, NJTPA, and PANYNJ is preferred, PennDOT and/or City of Philadelphia is desirable. Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local design standards PE license in PA; NY or NJ desirable. Proven ability to lead and mentor multi‑disciplinary teams on complex transportation projects Strong written and verbal English communication skills, essential for client interaction and long‑term success.
