People Operations & Talent Acquisition Manager VHCM | Gainesville/Newberry, FL | Hybrid | Full-time. Salary commensurate with experience + benefits. VHCM supports two growing veterinary organizations: Community Care Veterinary Specialists , a specialty and emergency hospital, and Newberry Animal Hospital Group , a 4-location general practice. We're hiring our first dedicated people leader to build HR and recruiting across both. This role is about 55% recruiting and 45% HR, and reports directly to the COO. There's no big HR department to inherit. You'll build the systems. What you'll do: Own full-cycle recruiting across both organizations, including DVMs. Build pipelines through vet schools, tech programs, referrals, and externships. Standardize our hiring workflow and applicant tracking system. Update policies and the employee manual, and support compliance (FMLA, ADA, workers' comp). Set the performance review cadence and lead the annual comp review. What you bring: 4+ years in talent acquisition or full-cycle recruiting. Experience building programs or supervising others. Working knowledge of employment law and payroll. Strong organization. You'll juggle open roles across 5 locations.
