Labor And Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: City, State

Number of Beds: 10 Labor Delivery Rooms (LDRs), 2 OB Emergency Department (OBED)

Staffing: 24 Bedside Registered Nurses (RNs)

Core Day Shift Staff: 3 RNs, 1 Scrub Technician, 1 Unit Secretary

Patient Ratios: 2:1, high-risk 1:1 or 2:1 if stable

Electronic Medical Records (EMR): CPN (Centricity), Meditech

Required Skills:

• Current Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• O.R. Circulator experience

Preferred Skills:

• Bilingual
• Scrub Technician skills

Typical Procedures:

• Cesarean Sections
• BTLs (Bilateral Tubal Ligation) / Salpingectomies

Required Certifications:

• C-EFM (Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring) preferred but not required

Floating Areas:

• Postpartum Unit
• Medical Floor (only as a Technician)

Dress Code:

Scrub Attire: Royal Blue

Weekend and On-Call Requirements:

Four weekend shifts per month.

Experience Requirement:

Minimum 1 year of experience required.
