About this role
We're looking for a skilled, dependable Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain customer vehicles in our busy service shop. You'll work on everything from routine maintenance to complex mechanical and electrical repairs, getting customers safely back on the road. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in quality work and accurate diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake service, and fluid flushes
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and scan equipment
- Repair or replace components including brakes, suspension, steering, belts, and batteries
- Inspect vehicles and clearly communicate recommended repairs to service advisors and customers
- Document work performed, parts used, and labor time accurately
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Required qualifications
- 1+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience, or completion of an automotive technology program
- Working knowledge of vehicle systems such as engine, brakes, suspension, and electrical
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and standard shop tools
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, and work in various positions throughout the shift
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred qualifications
- ASE certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Experience with a specific make or dealership environment
- Own set of basic hand tools
- Familiarity with shop management or diagnostic software
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)

We're a 120-person, remote-first team with hubs in Santa Monica, Austin, and Toronto. Engineering runs in small cross-functional pods that own their surface end to end: you'll pick the stack, write the tests, and watch your own dashboards. We deploy dozens of times a day and keep on-call humane.
