Purchasing Agent / Buyer I Pay: $21.50-$25.00/hrLocation: Oklahoma City, OK
Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Order #: 124059 Position Overview The Purchasing Agent / Buyer I is responsible for coordinating the procurement of materials, parts, and supplies to support production and operations. This Purchasing Agent / Buyer I role works closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure materials are ordered, tracked, and delivered on time while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards. Required Experience & Skills
• 1-3 years of purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing experience (preferred)
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with ERP systems
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to analyze inventory usage and reorder points
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• High School Diploma or equivalent required Essential Duties & Responsibilities The Purchasing Agent / Buyer I role includes:
• Review inventory levels and determine reorder points using ERP systems
• Create and manage purchase orders for materials and parts
• Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and availability
• Request and evaluate vendor quotes for new and existing components
• Track orders and ensure on-time delivery of materials
• Expedite late orders and provide status updates to internal teams
• Identify and evaluate alternative suppliers when necessary
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams on material specifications and changes
• Review engineering change orders related to materials and procurement
• Manage purchasing of MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) supplies Preferred Experience
• Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with supply chain processes and vendor management Physical Requirements
• Ability to work in an office or manufacturing support environment
