About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty. License: RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: ICU experience required. Neurosurgery experience preferred. Epic experience required. Basic arrhythmia experience required. Description: We are seeking an experienced inpatient Registered Nurse (RN). Practice on an 18-bed critical care unit that specializes in the care of critically ill adult patients with a variety of neuro diagnoses. Diagnoses include stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, surgical resections, and trauma. Provide strong critical thinking skills along with specialized interventions and procedures such as hemodynamic monitoring and hypothermia. Join a team of remarkable nurses with supportive leadership. Nurse-driven collaboration and partnership with nationally certified physicians and interdisciplinary care team members are valued. Traveler must be willing to work with ICU and IMC patient populations. Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. The following criteria must be met in two attempts: - 100% identification of lethal rhythms including ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole. - No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks. - Passing score of 80% or higher is required on the adult exam. On the pediatric exam, a passing score of 80% or higher is required as well. The traveling nurse will float as needed. Certification in cardiac interpretation review course may be required if the telemetry test is not passed after two attempts.
