About the Position

Job Title: Registered Sleep Tech Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years required License: State certification required Certifications: BLS, RPSGT Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with charting system required Description: Position for a Registered Sleep Tech. Shifts will be from 06:30 to 17:00, three days a week on various days. Minimum of two years of experience is required. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Weekend shifts may be required at times. State certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist is required. BLS certification is needed. This position does not require on-call duty. The traveler will not float between service lines. Total staff beds in the unit are 12. Gray scrubs are required for this position. Charting will be done using the Epic system. Skills needed include End-Tidal CO2 monitoring and Adult Multiple Sleep Latency Tests. Experience with equipment such as BiPAP and CPAP is necessary. The position requires patient education and management of respiratory events. Knowledge of sleep stages and scoring is essential. All candidates must meet unit and patient care expectations.
