Director, IT Security

Salary: $140,000 - 160,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, IT service management, network engineering, or a related field, with a record of creating secure, low-friction experiences.
• 5+ years designing and implementing enterprise cloud environments, preferably using Terraform.
• 5+ years managing Microsoft Intune and Purview environments.
• 5+ years managing Palo Alto firewalls and related technologies.
• 5+ years managing Tenable.io or other Nessus vulnerability scanners.
• 5+ years of Python and PowerShell scripting to automate Microsoft 365 or internal processes.
• 5+ years working with AWS technologies, including EC2, EKS, Fargate, and CloudWatch.
• At least 1 year of experience with generative AI governance and security design.
• Knowledge of designing and implementing network device access using HPE Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager.
• 5+ years developing information security policy documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders and build consensus across business units.
• Cybersecurity, networking, AWS, or Microsoft systems management certifications are preferred.
• Telecommunications industry experience is preferred.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and keeping current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to hold people accountable, keep teams focused, organize and prioritize work, and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Lead our IT Security team and develop our cybersecurity strategy, including a defense-in-depth platform.
• Protect our employees, customers, data, network, and other assets from internal and external threats.
• Manage relationships with security vendors and partners, including managed security service providers.
• Determine Palo Alto firewall deployment designs and remote access solutions.
• Design and administer a vulnerability management program, and develop and maintain our vendor management program.
• Create and maintain policies for responsible generative AI use.
• Manage on-premises and cloud identity and access management platforms, and design and implement MFA and SSO wherever possible.
• Design and manage the security posture of on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Lead required compliance audits and conduct regular access and system log reviews.
• Research advanced information security techniques and develop plans for their implementation.
• Create and maintain information security policies and documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders during discovery, design, and implementation of new technologies to incorporate security from the outset.
• Provide advanced-level support for internal users on security-related IT service management tickets.
• Create and maintain disaster recovery procedures and documentation.
• Plan and manage IT security expenditures and budgets.
• Design backup and restore procedures for company systems.
• Select and use tools to safeguard company resources and data.
• Design and lead internal security awareness training programs.
